Leonardo Yachts offers EFOY COMFORT fuel cell for its luxury daysailers

  • Light, quiet, and environmentally friendly EFOY fuel cell is conquering the marine market
  • Further boat manufacturer now offers EFOY COMFORT as a factory-fitted option

Brunnthal/Munich, Germany, 18/01/2013 – Dutch boatbuilder Leonardo Yachts has decided to offer the EFOY fuel cell from SFC for independent on-board power supply on its “Eagle 36” and “Eagle 44” luxury daysailers. As an optional extra, the EFOY fuel cell supplies quiet, light, emission-free power that is always available independent of the weather on board the elegant yachts. Leonardo Yachts sees the greatest benefit for its international clientele in the most powerful fuel cell model, the EFOY Comfort 210, with its charging capacity of up to 2.6 kWh per day.

“We have included the EFOY COMFORT fuel cells in our range because it allows us to enhance our yachts in a sensible manner and to better meet our customers’ requirements for independence. We find the comfortable, quiet and environmentally friendly power supply very convincing – it allows Leonardo Yacht owners to drop anchor anywhere without having to compromise comfort or safety,” says Melle Boersma, Director of Leonardo Yachts.

“We are extremely proud of the fact that a further builder of luxury yachts has decided in favour of our EFOY Comfort fuel cell,” says Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG. “Our quiet, off-grid and clean power supply increases comfort and safety for Leonardo Yachts customers.”
