Brunnthal/Munich, Germany, 12 July 2024 – SFC Energy AG („SFC“, F3C:DE, ISIN: DE0007568578), a leading supplier of hydrogen and methanol fuel cells for stationary, portable and mobile hybrid power supply solutions, will once again be ensuring a green power supply with high-performance and reliable hydrogen fuel cell solutions during this year's LAUTFEUER Festival.
Around 10,000 music and festival enthusiasts are once again expected to attend the LAUTFEUER Festival in Lingen on the river Ems in north-west Germany from 12 to 13 July. This year, in addition to the H₂Genset, SFC Energy is providing its latest product innovation, the EFOY H₂PowerPack X50 ("EFOY Hydrogen Power Pack") for the festival's green power supply. The reliable, low-maintenance and emission-free hydrogen energy solutions ensure a large part of the power supply during the entire festival operation.
The EFOY H₂PowerPack X50 plug & play energy solution, which was only officially unveiled in April and at HANNOVER MESSE 2024, and the 50 kW hydrogen fuel cell integrated into it ensures that the main stage is powered by electricity. An additional battery storage unit with a capacity of 422 kWh is installed between the main stage and the EFOY H₂PowerPack X50 and covers peak loads. The EFOY H₂PowerPack X50 continuously recharges the battery storage system.
The side stage and the after-show party at the LAUTFEUER Festival, including the associated lighting systems and refrigerated containers for supplying drinks, are powered by the mobile H2Genset emission-free generator.
"Festival Lautfeuer sets green standards" from the german TV channel NDR in the magazine "Hallo Niedersachsen" from July 13, 2024.
During the festival, around 2.1 MWh of green electricity will be generated using hydrogen energy solutions from SFC Energy. The two systems used utilize hydrogen generated with green electricity as the energy source.
Erik Mersmann, board member of Abifestival since 1981 e.V., the organizer of the LAUTFEUER Festival: "As festival organizers, we face the exciting task of planning and redesigning our events year after year. In doing so, we have to constantly adapt to changing official requirements, our own demands and ideas as well as the expectations of our visitors. This requires innovative approaches and a willingness to break new ground. This year, we have a partner in SFC Energy, whose power generation solutions help us to reduce our environmental impact without compromising on performance. This allows us to create unforgettable experiences and act sustainably at the same time."
Dr Peter Podesser, Chairman of the Management Board of SFC Energy AG: "We are equipping more and more international (music) festivals with our clean and quiet fuel cell solutions. We are very pleased to be represented again this year at the traditional LAUTFEUER Festival in Lingen. In addition to the H₂Genset, which proved itself last year, our most powerful hydrogen fuel cell solution to date – the EFOY H₂PowerPack X50 – will be used for the first time. We wish all visitors and dedicated helpers a great festival experience."

Every year, thousands of people gather on the meadow at the old nuclear power plant in Lingen. The reason is clear: the LAUTFEUER Festival - Umsonst & Draußen, organized voluntarily by the Abifestival e.V. since 1981 and an integral part of the northern German events calendar for over 40 years. Around 300 volunteers make it possible for everyone to experience art and culture, regardless of their financial means. The festival with free admission - probably unique as it is.
