SFC Energy: Simark Controls and Gentherm Global Power Technologies Enter Into Sales Agreement for EFOY Pro Energy Solutions

- Gentherm Global Power Technologies (GPT) will initially sell the EFOY Pro portfolio of fuel cell based off-grid power solutions to U.S. customers with planned expansion into Asia and South America

- EFOY Pro Energy Solutions ideally complements GPT's thermoelectric generator portfolio, where small scale portable or compact solutions are required with limited fuel availability.

- SFC expects sales of approx. 50 energy solutions in the first year of the business partnership.

Brunnthal/Munich, Germany, and Calgary, Canada, April 28, 2015 - Simark Controls, a company of SFC Energy AG (Deutsche Boerse Prime Standard (WKN: 756857 ISIN: DE0007568578), leading provider of hybrid power solutions to the stationary and mobile power generation markets, today announced a new sales agreement with Gentherm Global Power Technologies (GPT), formerly known as Global Thermoelectric. GPT is the world leader in providing remote off-grid power solutions to the Oil & Gas market around the world, with a worldwide distribution and partner network and over 30,000 Remote Power systems deployed in 50+ countries around the world.

In the framework of the agreement, GPT will sell the EFOY Pro portfolio of fuel cell based off-grid and remote power solutions by SFC Energy into the US remote power market. In a second step, GPT plans expansion of EFOY Pro sales activities into their international customer base, e.g. Asia and South America.

"We have selected the EFOY Pro power supplies because they are a perfect complementary solution for applications where thermoelectric generators (TEGs), solar modules, or batteries alone are not the right fit," says James Bolen, President of Gentherm Global Power Technologies. "EFOY Pro Energy Solutions will help our customers by providing a power solution suited to a wide variety of applications that runs for months or years on end without any user intervention. We feel that this is an enormous advantage for the operators of these applications and we look forward to integrating it as part of our sales offering."

"GPT's decision to include our EFOY Pro Energy Solutions into their sales portfolio is a major milestone for us," says Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO von SFC Energy. "We believe that GPT's worldwide sales presence, reputation and expertise in off-grid power solutions will create wider visibility in explaining the value proposition provided by our EFOY Pro fuel cells in the U.S. market. This partnership will serve as a strong platform in expanding our business into Oil & Gas markets around the world."

About GPT's TEGs

GPT's TEGs, which convert heat produced by a gas burner directly into power, have no moving parts, are extremely robust, and provide very reliable power for a wide variety of off-grid scenarios. GPT offers TEGs in output sizes from 50 to 500 Watts for applications requiring power up to 5,000 Watts.

About EFOY

As stand-alone power source or in hybrid operation with solar modules, EFOY Pro fuel cells automatically produce energy when needed. Connected to the battery that powers the devices and equipped with sufficient amounts of their high energy density fuel, they can be left unattended for months or years on end, ensuring that the devices being powered will always operate, in any weather or season.
