Steffen Schneider - New CFO of SFC Energy AG

Brunnthal/Munich, Germany, July 3, 2014 - The Supervisory Board of SFC Energy AG (listed on the Regulated Market (Prime Standard) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, ISINDE0007568578, WKN 7 56857) has appointed Steffen Schneider (42) as the company's new CFO. Mr. Schneider, who holds an MBA, will take up his new position as the Chief Financial Officer of SFC Energy AG effective September 1, 2014. Mr. Schneider is an expert in international finance and capital market matters. He has supported SFC Energy for many years as a corporate finance consultant and has intimate insights into the company's business and strategy as well as knowing the international management team. Among other things, he was also responsible for supporting SFC Energy's various acquisition projects. For the last five years, Mr. Schneider has supported industrial companies in financing, IPO and M&A transactions as Managing Director with Fox Corporate Finance in Munich. Before that Mr. Schneider had worked in investment banking for Citigroup in London and Frankfurt, where he was Director and Co-Head of Corporate Finance in Frankfurt. In this function Mr. Schneider also managed the SFC Energy's successful IPO in 2007.

With the appointment of Steffen Schneider as CFO of SFC Energy AG the Supervisory Board stresses the central role of active international capital market activities. Together with SFC Energy's CEO, Dr. Peter Podesser, Mr. Schneider will play an important role in further developing SFC's capital market strategies as well as broadening the company's shareholder base.
