Marex Boats offers EFOY COMFORT fuel cell generator ex works on their luxury motor yachts
- EFOY COMFORT integrated ex works as off grid power supply in all Marex powerboat models above 30 foot.
- The maintenance free fuel cell generator recharges on-board batteries anytime, anywhere without requiring any user intervention.
- After the excellent track record in sailboats, this marks the entry of the EFOY COMFORT into the motorboat market, too.
Brunnthal/Munich, Germany, March 1, 2013 – Marex Boats, leading Northern producer of high quality motor yachts, has selected the EFOY COMFORT fuel cell generator by SFC Energy, technology and market leader for portable, mobile, and off-grid power generation and distribution, as ex works power supply on several of their luxury powerboat models. Marex Boats has chosen the EFOY COMFORT for its silent, almost zero-emission operation, its ultimate user convenience, and its compact size and low weight. The fuel cell generator offers decisive advantages over other off-grid power supplies, like Diesel generators, solar modules or wind generators. It is weather independent, silent and provides reliable on board power anytime, anywhere. Integrated in a small separate compartment of the boat, it constantly monitors the charge state of the on-board battery, automatically recharging it whenever required. The boat owner never has to worry about running out of power again. The EFOY COMFORT is maintenance free and will operate fully automatically as long as there is fuel.
Marex Boats offers the EFOY COMFORT fuel cell generator in their celebrated Aft Cabin Cruiser models. Marex powerboats have won a range of prestigious international boating industry awards for their design and quality, the latest of them being the European Powerboat of the Year Award and the European Motorboat of the Year Award in 2013.
“Our customers clearly stated that they want a clean, silent, trouble-free, weather independent on-board power supply for the time, when they are moored or anchored away from the grid”, says Espen Aalrud, Managing Director of Marex Boats. “Having to run the engine for recharging the batteries simply is not an option anymore for them. And they do not want to be depending on the weather for their power needs with solar or wind generators. The EFOY COMFORT is the ideal solution for this demanding clientele.”
“It is a great acknowledgement, seeing our popular EFOY COMFORT fuel cell generator now also integrated ex works into motorboats”, says Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy. “It proves that the many advantages of the EFOY COMFORT that sailboat owners have come to appreciate are just as valuable to motorboat users.”
The convenient EFOY fuel cell cartridges are available at over 2,000 sales points in Europe, the U.S., the Caribbean, and at many other marine locations.
