DGAP-News: SFC Energy AG / Key word(s): Incoming Orders SFC Energy AG - Press Release SFC Energy: Dutch subsidiary PBF Group B.V.- receives prototype order for fully integrated power supply system for high tech laser systems - Customized prototype integrates PBF's laser power supply technology in a scalable, configurable plug & play solution. - Solution builds on PBF's successful High Power Platform for fast and cost-attractive customization - Order amount: approx. EUR 0.25 million. Annual revenue potential of up to EUR 1 million upon successful production qualification. Brunnthal/Munich, Germany, June 26, 2017 - PBF Group B.V., Dutch subsidiary of SFC Energy AG, a leading provider of hybrid power solutions to the stationary and mobile power generation markets, announces the receipt of a prototype order from their partner Schulz-Electronic GmbH, Baden-Baden, Germany: An international laser tool producer has ordered fully integrated laser power supply systems for the direct operation of diode pumped fiber lasers used in metal working. The initial prototype order amounts to EUR 0.25 million, after successful prototype qualification PBF expects annual revenues of annually EUR 1 million for the subsequent period. Laser diodes require very stable, precise, often highly dynamic power supplies. PBF's powerful power supplies feature an extremely high energy density solution for the highly sensitive laser diode loads. Dynamic load adjustment between grid connection and laser unit ensures optimum efficiency with the dynamic, fast pulsability required in lasers. The power supplies also significantly increase total system performance and lifetime, enabling new and optimized applications. PBF customized the specified laser power supply system on the basis of their successful PBF platform. The fully integrated plug & play solution combines a high performance PBF power supply with multiple pulsable current drivers, and eliminates the need for external modules the customer had to purchase separately in the past. Load current supply can be configured and scaled on demand, featuring attractive new options plus decisive cost, quality and service advantages over the former external solution. "The laser system producer has selected PBF's Power Supply Systems due to their high performance and modular flexibility. Thanks to our innovative production optimization we were able to even undercut the customer's target price", says Hans Pol, CSO of SFC Energy. "Our successful platform technology enables us to realize fast, efficient and cost-attractive solutions to meet the customer's very specific requirements. We see substantial potential in our platform in the international laser industry and many other applications requiring ultimate flexibility and cost efficiency."
