The JENNY fuel cell by SFC - technology
- Like all SFC fuel cells, the JENNY uses direct-methanol technology. The JENNY‘s innovative unipolar stack technology makes its extremely compact and lightweight design possible. The SFC JENNY fuel cell has been especially designed for portable deployment in rough terrain and has been tested in accordance with Mil Spec 810F.
- The JENNY 600S can operate in both vertical and horizontal positions.
The JENNY 600S fuel cell in operation
The JENNY 600S can be employed in two ways:
- Worn – In this scenario, a soldier would wear the JENNY 600S in a vest. The JENNY 600S is connected to a secondary battery and monitors its voltage continually. When needed, it automatically switches on to quietly recharge the battery. Once the battery is recharged, the JENNY 600S reverts to silent standby mode. The vest also carries the SFC fuel cartridge that powers the JENNY 600S.
- In the field – In this scenario, the JENNY 600S can power remote applications fully automatically without any interventions.
