Le fondateur de SFC entre au conseil d'administration

Brunnthal, October 4, 2005 – Dr. Manfred Stefener, founder of SFC Energy AG, is to join the Company’s Supervisory Board.

„I would like to welcome Dr. Stefener to SFC’s Supervisory Board,” says Rüdiger C. Olschowy, Chairman of the SFC Supervisory Board. “He has done an outstanding job in building the world’s leading commercial fuel cell provider.“ „It has been an extraordinary seven years for me,” says Stefener. “SFC is at a very exciting point in its history, and I am confident that the Company has the right management team in place to drive forward its commercial development.“

Effective October 1st, SFC’s Management Board will be led by Dr. Jens Müller and Pieter Bots. Dr. Müller joined SFC in 2001 and has led the Company’s technology development since that date. “I have enjoyed working with Manfred to get us to where we are today,” says Dr. Jens Müller, SFC’s Managing Director Technology and Operations. “We have a very strong development pipeline, which will help us extend our leadership position in fuel cell technology.”

Pieter Bots, SFC’s Managing Director Sales and Marketing, joined SFC this year after selling his stake in Freecom Technologies, a consumer electronics company he founded and grew to over USD 100m turnover. „SFC is extremely well-positioned as the world’s only fuel cell company with real commercial sales,” Bots says. “Jens and I will be capitalizing on the leading market position to which Manfred brought the company. Over the next 18 months SFC will be launching a range of new products that will change the way people experience mobile energy.”
