All Concorde Motor Homes now with Power Autonomy Package wit
Brunnthal, Germany, August 24, 2007 – At this year’s Caravan Salon in Duesseldorf Concorde, the leading European motor home producer, introduces their new Concorde Power Autonomy Package with EFOY fuel cell. The Power Autonomy Package will be offered ex works as optional equipment for all five Concorde models Credo, Carver, Charisma, Cruiser, and Liner. It will ensure all-season power independence of the motor home by means of the intelligent combination of solar cell and fuel cell.
The Concorde Power Autonomy Package consists of an EFOY 1600 fuel cell including M10 fuel cartridge, a 120 W solar panel and a Mastervolt combi charger. In fair weather, when the solar cell charges the battery, the EFOY fuel cell remains in standby mode with zero methanol consumption. Whenever the solar cell ceases to produce sufficient power, the EFOY fuel cell will automatically switch into charge mode thus ensuring that the batteries are always full even during bad weather or at night. The intelligent combination of the two power sources provides 100% reliable availability of off-grid power, just like at home.
With the purchase of a new Concorde motor home at Caravan Salon Duesseldorf Concorde customers will be able to acquire the Power Autonomy Package at a special fair price of EUR 6,900 EUR. The regular package price after the fair will be EUR 7,900. If all components were to be purchased separately, their prices would amount to a total of EUR 8,400. Thus, the CSD offer represents a discount of almost twenty percent in comparison to the standard prices.
Jochen Reimann, Managing Director of Concorde Reisemobile GmbH, explains the reasons behind the cooperation of his Company with SFC: “Concorde customers usually use their motor home several months per year and they are very demanding. They are not willing to compromise when travelling and they want a power supply that is just as reliable as it is easy to use. Our Power Autonomy Package satisfies all these requirements and the EFOY fuel cell is a very important part of it.”
“We are very proud that with Concorde, one of the most prestigious motor home producers has selected an energy concept with the EFOY fuel cell for providing off-grid power to their high quality motor homes “, says Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG. “The advantages of a clean power supply independent of weather and season enable many benefits and comfort functions the demanding Concorde motor home owners have come to expect.”
The EFOY fuel cell is available at caravanning retailers across Europe. It comes in four models with a charging capacity of 600 Wh, 900 Wh, 1200 Wh resp. 1600 Wh per day. The EFOY fuel cartridges required for operation of the fuel cell can be bought at over 600 sales points in Europe. One EFOY M10 cartridge contains 10 litres and will supply a motor home with independent power for up to four weeks.
Interested parties will be able to experience all four EFOY fuel cells in live opera-tion at the upcoming Caravan Salon Duesseldorf at SFC’s booth B52 in hall 13 and at numerous other retail partners of SFC.
