Applications for portable SFC fuel cells: Special Forces
Deployment of JENNY 600S fuel cell and SFC Power Manager for special forces
-
The JENNY 600S and the Power Manager serve as a reliable remote source of power for any portable system (electronic/optical, radio, computer, weapons systems).
-
The Power Manager enables troops to feed power from other sources of energy such as solar panels or batteries in the field into the network.
-
The JENNY 600S and the SFC Power Manager work reliably, quietly, and fully automatically in any weather, in any climate and in any season.
- Thanks to the two units, it is possible to reduce the weight of the batteries that a soldier has to take on a 72-hour mission by up to 70 percent.
The following table compares the weight, energy, and volumes of three power solutions for special forces:
They are:
- conventional lithium primary batteries
- network of batteries with the SFC Power Manager for more efficient battery use
- SFC fuel-cell system with the JENNY 600S, the SFC Power Manager, and a hybrid battery.
The SFC fuel-cell system is able to power all the special force’s technical devices reliably and continually. At the same time, it can reduce weight by up to 50%.
