Fuel cartridges by SFC

For portable scenarios with JENNY 600S, M0.35 fuel cartridges are employed. For JENNY ND Terra, M2.5 fuel cartridges are used. For both sizes there are two different concentrations of methanol available. The ambient temperature is the deciding factor determining which fuel cartridge is to be used.

Regular fuel cartridge

These fuel cartridges contain undiluted methanol and are recommended for fuel cells operating in the range of -32°C to + 35° C (JENNY ND Terra to +20 °C)

Desert fuel cartridge

These cartridges contain a mixture of water and methanol. They have been especially designed to operate fuel cells in warm climate zones at temperatures ranging from +10° C to 55° C.

The advantages of SFC fuel cartridges

  • Certified safe – SFC fuel cartridges bear the TÜV seal of safety. The container material consists of a particularly hard plastic and the cartridges have been subjected to numerous drop and shock tests, which they have passed with flying colors. SFC fuel cartridges also fulfill the exacting demands of military applications. Various international defense organizations have conducted extensive shot, flame and field tests. The methanol did not ignite even after being hit with tracer ammunition.
  • Safe and user friendly - SFC fuel cartridges come equipped with a safety valve that prevents leakage. It only opens if the fuel cartridge is connected to an SFC fuel cell. If the cartridge is removed, the safety valve closes hermetically. At no time do users come into contact with methanol.
  • Easy logistics – Methanol possesses a number of logistical advantages. SFC fuel cartridges are certified safe for transport via land, sea, or even air.
